What We do

We support the growing number of families affected with Special Needs / Autism Spectrum Disorders by providing user defined, user configured, home / school based technology solutions that promote individual safety and behavior management through real-time data capture, information management, and evaluation.

The A Deeper View 'KIHd System' accurately measures improvement or regression for current goals and objectives, while showcasing Prompts, Secondary Behaviors, and Reinforcers, and graphing them in real time.

Why We Do It

Data-based decision making is a key element in special educational and therapy programs for children with disabilities.

It is the basis for applied behavioral analysis (ABA), Response to Intervention (RtI), positive behavioral support,  and curriculum based measurement programs.

Parents, educators and therapists need to be able to analyze and interpret instructional, social and behavioral data so they know if they are meeting students / patients needs.

How We Do It

The A Deeper View 'KIHd System'  is a web access data capture, data management, report generation tool to document Antecedents, Behaviors, and Consequence patterns.

These patterns are easy to evaluate by measuring the: Accuracy, Frequency, Fluency, Latency, Duration, Quality, Intensity, Reinforcers, Secondary Behaviors, and Anecdotal Notes for each session.  This information is presented in 'easy to read': line, bar, and pie graphs, and the raw data can be exported to an excel spreadsheet for further analysis.

The system is hosted in a secure data center and all data between the host and the data collector is encrypted.

Where Did It Come From

The Kellar Instructional Handheld Data (KIHd) System was developed over a 5 year period at George Mason University's Kellar Institute for Human Disabilities. Funding the development of the system was a  U.S.D.O.E. Stepping Stones of Technology Grant.  G.M.U. has US Patent Application #US27180428A1

In June 2008 Michael Darden, President of A Deeper View and a parent with two special needs children licensed the rights to market the KIHd system around the world.

Michael and the staff at A Deeper View have made many enhancements to the system, including the ability to collect data using an IPod Touch or other web access device.  The team also introduced the capability to extract data from Windows Media clips.
